Dr. Syed Shah is Chief Innovation Officer at IMH. In this capacity, he is responsible for R&D, Regulatory, Quality Pharmacovigilance and Supply Chain Management in the United States and internationally.

Dr. Shah has over 20 years of experience in Big Pharma R&D (Pfizer, Wyeth and Lederle Labs) and 10 years in foods R&D (Beatrice Foods and UOP Inc).

He is the co-inventor of over 40 U.S. patents and played a leadership role (including co-inventor) in the science effort behind four pharmaceutical blockbusters (Pristiq®, Zosyn®, Tygacil® and Protonix®).

Dr. Shah, who has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, is the recipient of several individual and team awards. His work has been published in several peer-review journals and presented at global medical conferences such as DDW.

Dr. Shah attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he obtained a BS in Biology, an MS in Microbiology and an MS in Chemical Engineering.
