Dr. Syed Shah is Chief Innovation Officer at IMH. In this capacity, he is responsible for R&D, Regulatory, Quality Pharmacovigilance and Supply Chain Management in the US and internationally

Dr. Shah has over 20 years of experience in Big Pharma R&D (Pfizer, Wyeth and Lederle Labs) and 10 years in foods R&D (Beatrice Foods and UOP Inc).

He is the co-inventor of over 40 U.S. patents and played a leadership role (including co-inventor) in the science effort behind four pharmaceutical blockbusters (Pristiq®, Zosyn®, Tygacil® and Protonix®).

Dr. Shah, who has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, is the recipient of several individual and team awards. He has presented and published in several peer review journals, including presenting at global medical conferences such as DDW.

Dr. Shah attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he obtained a BS in Biology, an MS in Microbiology and an MS in Chemical Engineering.
